FITNESS PILATES CLASSES, GARSINGTON
Note: 9 a.m. class resumes in September, but will be held at Studio A, Watlington Road, Garsington, OX44 9DP (lots of parking, mirrored studio.)
These are drop-in 50 minute classes
£6 per class. Maximum 10-15 participants.

Fitness Pilates is a group fitness class created for the healthy adult. It is not remedial or designed for rehabilitation but still uses all of the principals of Pilates. It includes many of the floor exercises of traditional Pilates and provides a controlled body conditioning program.
You will work on your core muscles to develop core and back strength and stability and improve your balance and posture. Work on the pelvic floor muscles will be included.
Fitness Pilates is a complimentary class aimed at all levels, ages and abilities. It incorporates basic Pilates techniques and exercises in a non-intimidating and easy-to-follow way.
Because these classes are not specialised or remedial, if you are pregnant or have just had a baby - this class is not for you. Come along when your midwife says it is safe to start exercising your abdominal muscles!
Similarly, if you have a diagnosed back problem, or if you have recently had a slipped disc or for any other reason feel that you have a back disorder, please get a signed note from your doctor which states that in their opinion it is safe for you to attend these classes.
We exercise to background music. There is a warm up at the beginning and most of the exercises will be on a mat. There is a relaxation at the end and you should leave feeling not only relaxed but that you have exercised effectively.
You will need to bring along a yoga-type mat. You may also want to bring water and a towel.
